Coconut tossing
Canadians trying to crack a coconut. I love the princess warrior scream. And yes I notice my bad habit of pointing out the obvious... "No Damage"

Our Second Full Day in the Dominican Republic
Well, we have finished our second full day of visiting schools and helping organizations.
Our trip here was an adventure in itself. A women with asthma had an attack and we had to make a quick landing in West Palm Beach. We were two hours delayed. At least I can say I have been to Florida.
Waking up in a new country is the most beautiful type of transition into new sights and sounds. It is where reality meets dreaming and I am unsure what I am doing now.
The young people are wonderful. It is as if they have always been here. Travel well together. Getting use to very different surrounding. Our first encounter was at a Le Arche home in Santa Domingo. This really broke the ice with the young people.
I am so happy to be here but I look forward to bring our young people home to share their experiences.

Another oldy
The stars betray the vastness of the universe
and I by comparison shrink into nothingness
but I look at the sky and I feel part of it

Poem used on Saturday
in Silence
when the laughter dies...
we are left with silence...
not an empty silence... that would be easy
but a silence that is full
of unsaid words
unfelt feelings
and life as yet unlived.
Let us listen to the silence...
Let it resonate within you...
Hear the rhythm of life... Whether you wrestle or dance...
Hear the harmony
Of what is...
Embracing what was...
That sings the eternal refrain...
There is more.
- Fr. Peter Keller, 1999

Other Signs of Spring
What a great day. Young boys in shorts and bigger boys on Harleys. Time to spring forward.
