We just happened to arrive in Siena the day before the Palio. So we celebrated Canada Day watching the trials of the Palio!!!
The crowd was to crazy to take video on the actual Palio July 2, but you get the idea.
At the actual Palio Oca (the goose) just beat out Lupa (the she-wolf) of our neighborhood. Oh well I hope we win in August. Fr. Murray and I attended the Oca horse blessing by chance. Don't tell contrada lupa! We are sure to attend the right blessing next time.
